New York Financial Industry Leaders Raise More than $500,000

Craig Stillwagon, PNC Business Credit, Honored at 36th Annual Financial Industries Dinner

National Jewish Health, the number one respiratory hospital in the nation, welcomed more than 700 leaders of New York’s financial industry, who raised more than $514,000 for the institution at the 36th annual Financial Industries Dinner at the New York Hilton on March 12, 2013. Craig Stillwagon, executive vice president and Eastern division executive of PNC Business Credit, was honored during the event.

One of the most prestigious philanthropic events for New York’s financial industry, the Financial Industries Dinner was first held in 1977, spearheaded by the late New York banker and philanthropist Lou Moskowitz. Over the years, the Financial Industries Dinner has raised more than $13 million for National Jewish Health, supporting its research, clinical care and educational mission.

Charles Garoklanian, senior vice president of PNC Business Credit, served as the dinner chair and emcee for the evening. The dinner’s honorary chair was Joseph Pollicino Jr., senior vice president and regional manager of Wells Fargo Bank N.A., who was also the 2012 honoree. Serving as treasurer was Sara V. Traberman, senior vice president at PNC Bank. 

Also during the dinner, Barry Kastner, honorary chairman of the 2012 Financial Industries Dinner and 2011 Humanitarian Award recipient, was inducted into the National Jewish Health Council of National Trustees. Kastner is executive vice president of Keltic Financial Services. “This important group of men and women, our trustees, act as ambassadors for National Jewish Health in their communities throughout the nation,” said Don Silversmith, chair of the National Jewish Health Development Board, as he welcomed Kastner to the council.
