Financial Industries Dinner Brings Financial Industries Business Leaders Together to Raise Funds

National Jewish Health is known worldwide for treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune and related disorders, and for groundbreaking medical research. Founded in 1899 as a nonprofit hospital, National Jewish Health remains the only facility in the world dedicated exclusively to these disorders. Since 1998, U.S. News & World Report has ranked National Jewish Health the #1 respiratory hospital in the nation.

Mr. Kastner is Executive Vice President of TD Bank, N.A., and Head of TD Bank’s Asset Finance Group, which is comprised of Asset Based Lending, TD Equipment Finance and Dealer Floorplan Finance. Barry serves on several committees within TD Bank's US commercial banking unit, including its credit committee, portfolio strategy committee, and corporate policy committee.  He was formerly a Managing Director at Wachovia Capital Finance, which was the successor to Congress Financial Corp., where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, prior to the merger with Wachovia.  Barry’s 33 year background at Congress and Wachovia includes roles in field examination, portfolio management, business development and senior management.

Mr. Kastner is a director of the Commercial Finance Association, where he serves on the Education Committee, and is a past president of the New York Chapter. In 2003, he received the Banking and Finance Distinguished Achievement Award from B’nai B’rith International. He is a frequent speaker and instructor on topics related to asset based finance.  

Mr. Kastner and his wife Sheila reside in Syosset, NY and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. They actively support such as LIJ North Shore Huntington Hospital, Island Harvest and Long Island Tourrette Syndrome Association.
