2013 Beaux Arts ‘Grand Court Ball’ Set for March 9

Annual Black-Tie Gala in Denver Benefits National Jewish Health

The attendees of the 2013 Beaux Arts “Grand Court Ball” benefiting National Jewish Health will convene March 9 for a royal party fit for a king and queen. Grand Marshals Cathy and Peter Dea, Kristen and Marc Holtzman, and Joyce Zeff will be honored at the annual fundraising event to be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.

The Beaux Arts Ball is the largest fundraising event held in Denver for National Jewish Health. Each year the black-tie gala draws over 1,200 people to celebrate and support the institution. The event features unique entertainment, spectacular food and drink and an alluring atmosphere in the heart of the city. This year’s theme, “Grand Court Ball,” reflects the elegance and magic inherent in a royal court and promises to be an enchanting evening.

Funds raised at the Beaux Arts Ball benefit patients who receive care for their respiratory, immune, cardiac and related diseases at National Jewish Health. Funds also help those in Colorado and around the world who benefit from breakthrough scientific discoveries that increase understanding and create new treatments for those diseases.

The Beaux Arts Ball also features Fund-A-Need, an exciting opportunity to make a direct donation to support a specific area of need at the institution. Since 2008, Fund-a-Need has raised millions of dollars to fund important programs at National Jewish Health. The 2013 Fund-a-Need will raise funds for The Cancer Center at National Jewish Health, one of the few cancer centers in the United States with a primary focus on lung cancer. Scientists and physicians at National Jewish Health are working to improve screening methods to detect lung cancer earlier and to develop personalized treatments. The Cancer Center at National Jewish Health integrates multispecialty clinical care, leading edge research and the most advanced diagnostic imaging available anywhere.

Co-chairs for the 2013 Beaux Arts Ball are Carrie and John Morgridge, Trish and Ralph Nagel, Debra and Ken Tuchman, and Leigh Anne and Sam Winegrad. The Fund-a-Need Ambassador is Bonnie Mandarich.
