National Jewish Physicians Named "Top Docs"
DENVER —
An even dozen physicians at National Jewish Medical and Research Center were named “Top Docs” in the annual ranking of Denver-area physicians by 5280 magazine. This list is compiled through a survey of more than 7,500 Denver metro-area doctors, who are asked, specialty by specialty, which physicians they would trust to treat them or their families. The twelve National Jewish physicians selected as “Top Docs” are:

Stephen Frankel, MD, critical care
James Good, MD, pulmonology
Todd Kingdom, MD, otolaryngology
Teofilo Lee-Chiong, MD, sleep medicine
David Lynch, MD, radiology
Richard Meehan, MD, rheumatology
John Mitchell, MD, thoracic surgery
William Pluss, MD, pulmonology
Cecile Rose, MD, occupational medicine
Scott Sagel, MD, pediatric pulmonology
Fred Wamboldt, MD, psychiatry
In addition to the 5280 list, a dozen National Jewish physicians were named the best in the entire nation in “America ’s Top Doctors ,” published in 2006 by Castle Connolly. This list is compiled from a survey of more than 230,000 physicians around the country. These include:
