USA Today Recognizes Eight NJH Docs
DENVER —
National Jewish Health is well represented in a new consumer database created by USA Today of the "Most Influential Doctors." Eight National Jewish Health doctors made the list. The database lists about 6,000 specialists in the treatment of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma and diabetes from more than 300 communities across the USA.
The eight National Jewish Health doctors recognized are:
Rafeul Alam, MD Asthma
S. (Allan) Bock, MD Asthma
John (Kern) Buckner, MD Hypertension
Kirstin Carel, MD Asthma
Henry Milgrom, MD Asthma
Stanley Szefler, MD Asthma
Grace Tamesis-Dimayuga, MD Asthma
Howard Weinberger, MD Hypertension
According to USA Today, "Unlike standard best-doctor lists compiled by opinion-based surveys, the analysis represents a national effort to track subtle differences in doctors' practice patterns that reveal, on a local level, which doctors most influence their peers. The project's goal is to offer consumers an innovative resource during the complex decision of how to choose a doctor.
More doctors in other specialties will be added to the database in coming months.
