31st Annual Pulmonary & Allergy Update

Allergists, pulmonologists and general practitioners can learn the approaches and methods used to diagnose and treat allergic, respiratory and immune diseases at the 31st Annual Pulmonary & Allergy Update conference hosted February 2009 by National Jewish Health. The program is co-chaired by National Jewish professors Harold Nelson, MD, Richard Martin, MD, and Erwin Gelfand, MD, and is a great opportunity to interact with the world's leading specialists.

"This conference will assist all medical professionals in treating their patients who suffer from these conditions," said Dr. Nelson. "It is a tremendous opportunity to learn from some of the best teachers in the nation."

The four day conference will feature dual tracks with pulmonary and allergy and immunology focuses.  The pulmonary track will cover topics in dyspnea, cardiac insights, personalized medicine, chronic infection and COPD.  The allergy and immunology track covers phenotypic markers, chronic sinusitis and asthma, refractory asthma, obesity and asthma, and vocal cord dysfunction.  The conference also includes a plenary session with a focus on women's health.

All participants will observe presentations by national and international speakers and take part in case study discussion workshops interacting with National Jewish Health Faculty.  Attendees can earn 15.5 CME credits or 17.4 CE nursing contact hours. National Jewish Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians and is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
