Scleroderma Treatment & Research Program
(Opens in a new window) (Opens in a new window) (Opens in a new window)Scleroderma is a rare, autoimmune disease that causes thickening and hardening of skin and connective tissue. Systemic (system-wide) scleroderma also can damage blood vessels, muscles, joints and internal organs like the esophagus, lungs, heart, gastrointestinal tract and kidneys.
Though there is not yet a cure for scleroderma, there are treatments to help with symptom management.
The Scleroderma Treatment & Research Program at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado, is a designated Scleroderma Research & Treatment Center (DSRTC) (Opens in a new window) (Opens in a new window) (Opens in a new window).
