New York AIR Society Event Raises More Than $370,000 to Support National Jewish Health

Peter G. Riguardi of Jones Lang LaSalle Honored

Peter G. Riguardi, president of the New York region of Jones Lang LaSalle and one of the Tri-State Region’s most influential real estate executives, was honored at the 21^st annual New York AIR Society “The Sky’s The Limit” benefit on May 17. The event, held at Three Sixty° in Tribeca, was attended by about 400 people and raised $371,000 to support National Jewish Health, the nation’s number one respiratory hospital, as named by U.S. News & World Report for 14 consecutive years.

Co-chairs of the event were Jason D. Pizer, president of Trinity Real Estate, and Roger Silverstein, executive vice president of leasing for Silverstein Properties, Inc. Guests included National Jewish Health Trustees Larry Silverstein and Jay Murnick; committee members Bobby Angel, Mitchell Karasik, Marisa Bass, Larry Miller, Lee Murnick, Holly Roach, Elise Udolf, Jennifer and Kyle Widay, Suzanne Smith and Brian Ginsberg; founding members and National Jewish Health Trustees Kathy Chazen and Bruce Dobozin, MD, and founding member Stacey Locker.

The event included a live auction with celebrity auctioneer CK Swett. The auctioned gifts were generous donations from a variety of sponsors and included a VIP tour of the World Trade Center site and trips to Miami, Aspen, the Cayman Islands and St. Barthelemy in the French West Indies.

Mr. Riguardi is one of many New York professionals who have been instrumental in supporting Denver-based National Jewish Health, the nation’s leading research and treatment center focused on respiratory, cardiac, immune and related diseases.

“I am honored to have been a part of such a great event,” Riguardi said.

“These donors have each given $25,000 in honor of Peter Riguardi. Their donations support the research, care and educational programs at National Jewish Health,” said Jason Pizer, the 2011 New York AIR Society honoree and 2012 co-chair.

New York AIR Society

The AIR Society (for Asthma, Immunology and Respiratory medicine) was founded in New York in 1991 when a group of young professionals came together because they or their family members had been treated for asthma, allergies or immune system disorders at National Jewish Health. This common tie gave them the inspiration to assist National Jewish Health in its efforts. Since then, the successful AIR Society has added groups in Denver and Washington, DC.
